How do I use essential oils?
Aromatic Use
Aromatic use means breathing in or inhaling an essential oil, via the palms or a diffuser.
This allows the scent to interact with the mind and body and brings emotional, respiratory and immune health benefits.
Topical Use
Topical use means applying to the skin.
Target specific areas by applying essential oils where you need them for a localized effect. Or apply to the soles of the feet and pulse points for overall body benefits. Use a carrier oil to enhance absorption and to reduce sensitivity.
Internal Use
Internal use involves using oils for flavouring food (think raw mint chocolate or sparkling lemon water!) or as a supplement for health benefits (e.g. immune or digestive benefits).
Use only oils labelled safe for flavoring and in small amounts only.

+ What are essential oils?
Essential oils are concentrated plant extracts that protect the plant in nature – I consider them the immune system of the plant! They are aromatic compounds naturally occurring in the plant that serve to keep the plant healthy and protect it from environmental threats such as viruses, bacteria, pests, weather and so on.
When extracted, the compounds produced are highly potent and contain their own protective and rejuvenating properties which we can benefit from.
We often underestimate nature – after all, modern medicine was derived from nature! Did you know that aspirin was derived from the bark of a willow tree and antibiotics from a fungus or soil bacteria?
Essential oils work at a cellular and psychological level, helping to bring the mind and body back into balance. Once they enter our bloodstream, they can target specific areas of the body with their healing benefits.
+ What can I use essential oils for?
Pretty much everything! For the mind, body, spirit and home! In my home, we use them for:
Digestion, immune health, sleep, stress and mood, natural cleaning, kids health, Skincare, meditation, energising, natural first aid, sugar cravings and weight.

Here is some food for thought:
- Cost effective - A little goes a long way – all you need is 1-2 drops for most applications (depending on use). Each 15 ml bottle contains 250 drops so will last a long time – just cents per application.
- Save $$$ on other items - I’ve saved money with these oils because they’ve replaced everyday household products, and I’ve been able to make skincare, cleaning and household items simply and cheaply.
